About Vanishing Point Digital Design, LLC

Vanishing Point Digital Design is freelance photography business serving the Madison, Wisconsin area. Owned and operated by Todd Brown – that's me – since 2003, I specialize in event, portrait and equestrian photography.

As you browse through my portfolio galleries, you will notice that there are a large number of photographs taken at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have been employed by the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as a graphic designer and photographer since 1998. There is no better place to work than the UW if you are a creative individual filled with a sense of curiosity and wonder.

Before I began my career at the UW, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Biology) from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, studied Wildlife Biology as a graduate student at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and then earned another undergraduate degree – Bachelor of Fine Arts (Graphic Design) – from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Having spent so much of my life as a student at a university, I guess it's not surprising that I now work for one. The University is my home. It's truly an honor to work with passionate faculty, students and staff at one of the most beautiful college campuses in the United States, and it's a privilege to document their efforts and journeys as they strive to make our world a better place to live.

As diverse as life is at the UW, my freelance photography business allows me to explore photographic interests and subject matter that fall outside of my realm of duties at the university. I'm interested in just about everything, and love to watch and observe people and animals at work and play. Documenting the spirit of a moment or an individual with a photograph is absolutely thrilling for me – whether it be a candid photo or a carefully lit portrait. Within a photograph, spirits and souls live forever.

My commitments at the UW keep me busy most weekdays, but I am available for photo sessions most weekends and some weeknights and late-afternoons. If you enjoy my photographic style and are interested in discussing a photo shoot, please contact me using the, "Contact" link at the top of this page.  I will reply to you promptly and will attempt to answer any questions you may have. If you would like me to contact you via phone, please provide your number and the best time to contact you during weeknights or weekends. Rate information can be found by clicking the, "Rates" link at the top of this page.

And finally, thank you for visiting my website! – Todd
